Arthur Flintoff

I started dancing for the exercise.  A sporting and physical lifestyle history left me with back issues that my back specialist gave me this simple ultimatum: "operation with a 50/50 chance or get active again".  By chance I was introduced to partner dancing in my middle years and its benefits strengthened my posture, balance and strength.

From that moment on I have been passionate about dance not just for its health benefits but also for its artistic components.  I have enjoyed Modern Jive, West Coast Swing, periodic stints of Salsa, Bachata and Tango.

But it has been contemporary Zouk that my greatest fondness has found its nest.  Its smooth flowing movements, strong couple connection and broad musical interpretation means it is a dance that never runs out.

Over the course of my dance career I have competed, performed, choreographed and instructed.  I have been taught by the best in the world and continue to commit to regular training in workshops and one-on-one supervision.
